500 Sprint Car Tour Event At Toledo Speedway Postponed
The yourBIGplans.com 500 Sprint Car Tour event at Toledo Speedway scheduled for Sunday, June 14th has been canceled due to forecasted wet weather. At this time, a rescheduled date for the Monroe Asphalt 40 has not been determined. An announcement will come, in due time, if and when a rescheduled date is announced. The yourBIGplans.com 500 Sprint Car was set to be joined by the USSA Kenyon Midget Series, the Vores Compact Touring Series, and Factory Stocks.
Track officials closely monitored the weather forecast throughout the day for Sunday's event at Toledo Speedway. Unfortunately, forecasts continued to worsen, with increasing chances of rain and thunderstorms expected during race hours. In the interest of safety for competitors, teams, officials, and fans, officials determined that weather conditions would not allow for a successful race program.
The yourBigplans.com 500 Sprint Car Tour will be back in racing action on Sunday, June 28th when the series returns to Winchester Speedway in Winchester, Indiana. The series visited the historic Indiana half mile in 2025 when Kody Swanson, the current points leader and reigning Unified Group Services Little 500 champion, went to victory lane in the inaugural Tom Bigelow Showdown. The 2025 event at Winchester Speedway was the first non-wing pavement sprint car race at the facility since 2019, and honored legendary racer Tom Bigelow.
