500 Sprint Car Tour Holds Third Annual Media Day Event

On Friday, March 8th, the 500 Sprint Car Tour conducted its 3rd Annual 500 Sprint Car Tour Media Day. Over 20 drivers between the 500 Sprint Car Tour and the USSA Kenyon Midget Series descended on the Anderson Country Club in Anderson, Indiana to partake in the exciting offseason event for the 500 Sprint Car Tour. This event is the first step in declaring that racing season is right around the corner.

From seasoned veterans to hopeful rookies, race winners to championship contenders, the 500 Sprint Car Tour Media Day saw it all. With multiple media outlets present, drivers were presented with the unique opportunity of exposure they have never seen before. Interviews, headshots, hero shots, and group discussions were all things the drivers encountered. Long form interviews with drivers were conducted with legendary sportscaster, Dave Argabright, at the helm. Reigning Little 500 champion, Jake Trainor, sat down with Argabright alongside his Championship trophy and recounted the events of his historic drive to Little 500 victory in 2023. Drivers also participated in fun activities like answering obscure questions for social media content and playing “Guess that part!” with parts provided by Auto Value Parts Stores, a premier partner of the 500 Sprint Car Tour.

New streaming partner, DirtVision, was also on hand for Media Day just one day after the announcement was made that the streaming service would broadcast the entire 2024 season. Hannah Newhouse was present for DirtVision to conduct interviews with the drivers and a production crew was on hand for hero shots and clips for broadcast intros and outros. Top Row Racing Media, Linda Mansfield, and Ken de la Bastide were also present at Media Day to interview drivers for their respective media outlets.

The media day event spanned a five hour period where drivers came in six to seven person groups. Drivers participated on a rotating basis between sit down interviews with media, hero shots, and long form interviews for broadcast partners and social media content creation. Drivers also participated in an individual photoshoot where they were able to get headshots and other posed photographs to be used for content creation. All drivers for the 500 Sprint Car Tour and the USSA Kenyon Midget Series took part in the individual photoshoot as well as social media content creation.

Content from the 500 Sprint Car Tour Media Day will be released periodically throughout the 2024 season. Fans that watch 500 Sprint Car Tour races on DirtVision will see some of this content as it will be used during broadcasts throughout the year. Fans will also see interviews and other items released on the 500 Sprint Car Tour social media pages, as well as the Anderson Speedway and USSA Kenyon Midget Series social media channels.

The 2024 500 Sprint Car Tour season will see nine points earning events across a ten race schedule from early April to mid October. The 76th Annual Little 500 will once again be a non-points earning event for the series, filling out the ten race schedule in its traditional Memorial Day Weekend slot.
