Brady Allum Looks for Redemption in 2026 Season

Anderson, IN (April 5, 2026) — After a standout rookie campaign, Brady Allum, the 2025 Rookie of the Year in the yourBIGplans.com 500 Sprint Car Tour, spent the offseason preparing for a fresh start in 2026. “We completely rebuilt the old car and started working out,” Allum said. “We’re going through the new car and pretty much just rebuilding everything, just to have a full recheck of everything and make sure we’re fully prepared for the 2026 season.”

Following a year of major changes—including introducing a new chassis—the team focused on versatility and upgrades this offseason. “We pretty much upgraded a couple parts so we could be more versatile on race day and made some changes, just upgrading parts really, and pretty much rebuilt everything from last year,” Allum explained. “We can come in this year with a full reset and start fresh, continuing off the speed we had last year.”

Allum made an immediate impression in 2025, notching two top-10 finishes. He finished 10th at Kalamazoo Speedway and 10th at Anderson Speedway in October. On top of that he finished a  career-best 12th place at the Little 500, a race he calls one of the highlights of his rookie season.

Experience has been Allum’s biggest growth as a driver. “I came in with very little experience in open-wheel cars,” he said. “I had about 10 races in an LS dirt sprint car before stepping into a pavement sprint car. The biggest improvement has been learning the little details it takes to compete and gaining the experience that comes with it.”

Patience behind the wheel is another key lesson from last season. “One of the biggest things was remaining calm, not getting too excited, and not rushing yourself to make moves. I just need to stay calm and be patient,” Allum said.

Looking ahead, he’s excited to return to familiar tracks where the team has shown speed. “Getting back on the racetrack at places like Anderson (Speedway) and Salem (Speedway) is what I’m looking forward to. We know we have a good car there and a notebook for those tracks. I’m excited to see if we can really compete up front.”

Allum also praised the 500 Sprint Car Tour for its level of competition. “There’s so much talent from all around the country. We have former NASCAR drivers, open-wheel veterans, modified racers, every night it’s something different. About 10 cars can compete for a win night in and night out.”

Family plays a special role in his racing journey. “I wouldn’t want to do it with anybody else. Sure, my dad and I bump heads sometimes, but at the end of the day, when we’re on the right path, we communicate well and constantly improve night after night. We both have the best interest for each other, so it’s very easy to work together.”

When asked to describe his mindset heading into the season in one word, Allum didn’t hesitate: “Redemption.”

With a fully rebuilt car, refined skills, and a renewed focus, 2025 Rookie of the Year Brady Allum is ready to build on his rookie season and chase that redemption on the high banks in 2026.
